IMAGE CREDIT: MEMORY AND PROPHECY EXHIBITION CATALOG

The Gaunt Bird of Famine was featured in the exhibition Memory and Prophecy which took place at Grand Central Fifth Avenue Galleries in New York City, May 20 – June 2, 1943. An image of the painting was one of the featured images in the exhibition catalog. In my opinion, this is one of her best paintings and a personal favorite of mine.
