Wayward Shrine - Marian Spore Bush

Marian stayed with her brother James Spore in 1919 while he was acting lieutenant governor in Guam for a year. While there, she started to paint and couldn’t stop. These Memories of Guam paintings were done much later around 1942 and are quite small compared to her other works. Marian said these Gaum series were the only paintings they were done entirely by herself and not “They.”
