Marian painted a series she referred to as theĀ “temple paintings” that were featured in some of her early gallery shows. The Siamese Temple was described as having colors of “red, green, black, white and gold, deep blue sky, rich green trees, and brown trunks painted in high relief.” All of the temple paintings were very large, colorful, and whimsical. I have only been able to find black-and-white newsprint images from this series. I would LOVE to know if they are still out there and what they look like in color.
