This 3 x 5 ft painting featured flowers done in Marian’s trademark bas-relief style. It is featured in her book “They” and titled Autumn Flowers, but when it was exhibited at The Fine Art Society in London in 1938, it was called Sunflower and at her memorial exhibition at Grand Central Art Galleries in 1947 it was titled Poppies, Dahlias & Sunflower. I don’t think Marian named all of her pieces but had to give them a title if she was showing them, hence the variations sometimes.
